Divas of Soul, Lira, Syleena Johnson and Berita to dazzle audiences at Big Top Arena

Three renowned soul sensations Lira, Syleena Johnson and Berita are guaranteed to bring some soul sizzle to audiences, for one night only, on 23 August 2019 at Carnival City Big Top Arena in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng.

 

Daveyton-born, South Africa’s very own diva Lira has wowed audiences both locally and internationally with her voice and artistry. This 11-times South African Music Award-winning Afro-Soul vocalist, has six multi-platinum studio albums, her most recent being Born Free. Lira who refers to her music as "a fusion of soul, funk, elements of jazz and African” continues to be the fan’s number one choice. She is a coach and mentor in the South African version of reality TV show The Voice.

 

Grammy-nominated Chicago-born diva Syleena Johnson is a RNB and Soul singer-songwriter, actress and talk show host. While she is well known for her chart-topping hit All Falls Down collaboration with Kanye West, her music career boasts eight studio albums and multiple awards and nominations. Her confessional songs and soulful rasp are described as “reminiscent of old-school R&B singers”.  Her new hit single Woman is guaranteed to set the stage alight.

 

She visits South Africa for a three-event tour. During her tour she will present her motivational workshop: Girls Talk with Syleena Johnson with girls from Ekurhuleni.

 

The third voice to set the stage alight is that of the multi-award winning singer-songwriter, guitarist and music producer, Berita She was introduced to South Africa with a stunning debut Thandolwethu, now revered as a classic South African ballad. Berita has release three studio albums to critical and commercial acclaim, earning platinum sales and multiple awards. Her most recent project is the chart topping single Ndicel’ikiss released in January this year and currently sitting on the top 40 most played songs on South African radio.

 

The evening will be hosted by Radio and TV presenter Dineo Ranaka. She has hosted and co-hosted multiple shows on television and radio including Dineo Live on Drive and the e.TV music show Club 808, she currently hosts The Bridge on Metro FM. Ranaka’s reality show Dineo’s Diary is one of the longest running reality shows in South Africa and has just wrapped up season 5.

 

The Divas and Soul  Concert is a creation of Fuse Africa Group and 2nd G Productions who are proud to bring Gauteng’s Soul and RNB lovers a night to remember, but also providing a platform to create awareness, and educate of challenges women face.

 

Doors open at 18h00 with the show starting at 19h00. Tickets are sold through Computicket and range from R250 to R480.
