Moretele Park’s annual Tribute Concert 2019 promises a dazzling 100% local line up of SA’s top artists

To celebrate 25 years of our democracy the annual Moretele Park 2019 Tribute Concert brings a stellar line-up of artists to the City of Tshwane on 31 August 2019. With a line-up that embraces difference and promotes local content, the Tribute Concert is a vital link in celebrating South Africa's diversity through music.

 

Drakensberg Promotions, the organisers of this much celebrated festival are committed to the call to action to increase local content and as pioneers of building and promoting a 100% local-content event have unveiled this year’s programme.

 

This year’s line-up is a star-studded procession of South African talent and includes living legend Caiphus Semenya, Simphiwe Dana, Zonke, Thandisiwa Mazwai, Sho Madjozi, Bhudaza, Vusi Nova, Thomas Chauke, Sun EL and longtime favourites Micasa, Mango Groove and Malaika.

 

Drakensberg Promotions will be giving a platform to development bands from Gauteng

 

In line with their commitments to the industry Drakensberg Promotions will also host a music business workshop in Pretoria on August 27th as part of the event. The workshop is aimed at musicians, practitioners and interested parties in the sector who want to know more about the business of music. The workshop will bring in key expertise to share insights, best practice and knowledge.
