First Thursdays is a free walkable cultural experience where art galleries, performance venues, retailers and restaurants stay open longer, offering visitors an array of different cultural experiences. Started in Cape Town, the First Thursdays movement has become popular in both Durban and Johannesburg where visitors have not only embraced the opportunity to experience something new, but enjoy the chance to soak up the city’s vibes.

Newtown Junction will be hosting a live music event at the amphitheatre, opposite the News Café, featuring performances by vocalist Sv la Kam, Afro Soul singer Babalwa Soul, Nkosazana Kgadi and MC’d by Mavestar.

Ster Kinekor will be also promoting their half price movie special that will run throughout March. With plenty to see, hear and experience and an array of restaurants enough to suit all tastes, Newtown Junction is the only place to be in March 2016.
