An initiative by the Managing Director of the company which seeks to empower young journalists with digital savvy alongside seeking new ways to revitalize the telling of the African narrative driven by integrity at all times. In a digital world where iPhones record feature films and record news from across the globe – it is this platform that will be the reality of the Media Centre and with the recording aspects established there will be no ceiling on what can be archived and disseminated. The essentials inherent in capturing content from script, to recording, to editing will be instilled in the emerging journalists who are privileged to find themselves within the African Media Centre of Excellence’s environment.
NEW Highlight Project: JT Comms is working on the inaugural Backing Vocalists and Session Musicians awards. An initiative by the Princess of Africa Foundation with the sole purpose of providing greater opportunity and recognition to backing vocalists and session musicians. The awards event will be staged annually on a date separate from the South African Music Awards or any other event that currently recognises contributions by successful music artists.
